AL-GHASHIYAH (88)

The Enveloper

1. Has there come to thee the news of the Enveloper?(1)
2. Some faces, on that day, shall be downcast,(2)
3. toiling, and weary;(3)
4. they shall enter a blazing Fire,(4)
5. given to drink from a boiling spring.(5)
6. There will be no food for them except bitter thorny fruit,(6)
7. that neither fattens, nor appeases hunger.(7)
8. Some faces, on that day, shall be joyful,(8)
9. pleased with their striving,(9)
10. in a lofty garden,(10)
11. not hearing therein any non-sense.(11)
12. Therein shall be a running spring.(12)
13. There-in shall be raised couches,(13)
14. and goblets well-set,(14)
15. and cushions arranged,(15)
16. and carpets spread-out.(16)
17. Do they not look at the camel, how it is created;(17)
18. and at the heaven, how it is raised up;(18)
19. and at the mountains, how they are fixed;(19)
20. and at the earth, how it is spread out?(20)
21. So admonish, thou art only an admonisher.(21)
22. Thou art not an overseer over them.(22)
23. But whoso turns away and disbelieves,(23)
24. God will give him the greatest punishment.(24)
25. Surely unto Us is their return;(25)
26. then surely upon Us is their reckoning.(26)
